Hot water outages don’t wait for a convenient time. When your system fails on a busy morning or can no longer keep up with your household, you need a plumber who shows up fast and actually fixes the problem. Majestic Plumbing & Electric has served Woodstock and the Greater Atlanta area since 2005, and our trained technicians handle everything from routine maintenance to full tankless water heater installations. We’re locally owned, and we back every job with a one-year workmanship warranty.

Benefits of Installing a Tankless Water Heater

Switching to a tankless system is one of the more practical upgrades a homeowner can make. These units heat water on demand rather than storing it in a tank, and the difference shows up in your energy bills, your utility closet, and your morning schedule. Here’s what you can expect from each of the key advantages.

Unlimited Hot Water for Busy Households

The shock of cold water mid-shower is a thing of the past with a tankless system. Water is heated instantly as it flows through the unit, so the supply never runs out. Families with multiple bathrooms or back-to-back morning routines will notice the difference right away.

Reduced Energy Consumption and Monthly Costs

A traditional tank keeps 40 to 80 gallons of water hot around the clock, even when no one is using it. Tankless units skip that entirely. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, homes using 41 gallons or less of hot water daily can see energy savings of 24% to 34% by switching to a demand-type system. For high-usage households, savings still run 8% to 14%. Over a 20-year lifespan, that adds up.

Longer Service Life Compared to Tank Models

Traditional tank heaters typically last 10 to 15 years. A well-maintained tankless unit, by contrast, can run for 20 years or more. Many models also have easily replaceable components, which means a repair can extend the life of the system rather than requiring a full replacement.

Compact, Space-Efficient Installation Options

Tankless units are wall-mounted and roughly the size of a small suitcase. They free up floor space in basements, garages, and utility closets, space that a standard 50-gallon tank would otherwise occupy. For homes with limited utility areas, that alone can be a deciding factor.

Signs Your Tankless Water Heater Needs Service

Catching a problem early is almost always cheaper than waiting for a full breakdown. A few warning signs are worth knowing.

Hot Water Running Cold Unexpectedly

If your water turns cold during use, the unit may be struggling to keep up with demand, or a heating element could be failing. Continued use under these conditions accelerates the damage, so it’s worth getting a technician out sooner rather than later.

Strange Sounds or Performance Changes

Rumbling or popping sounds coming from the unit usually point to mineral scale buildup inside the heat exchanger. Hard water is common in the Atlanta metro area, and without regular descaling, that buildup restricts water flow and forces the unit to work harder.

Unexpected Increase in Energy Usage

A spike in your energy bill without a change in usage habits is worth investigating. Scale buildup, a failing component, or an improperly sized unit can all cause the system to draw more power than it should.

Frequent System Resets or Shutdowns

A unit that shuts itself off repeatedly may be dealing with an overload, a venting problem, or an electrical fault. Our technicians can run diagnostics to find the cause and make sure the system is safe to operate.

Unit Struggling to Meet Household Demand

When water temperature drops noticeably during simultaneous use, for example, with two showers running at once, the unit may be undersized for your current needs. We can evaluate your usage and recommend whether a repair or an upgrade makes more sense, or if adding a second unit is the better path. tankless water heater services woodstock

Tankless Water Heater Services We Offer in Woodstock, GA

From a simple diagnostic visit to a full system replacement, Majestic handles the complete range of tankless water heater work. Our technicians are trained on all major brands and carry the parts needed to complete most jobs in a single visit.

Tankless Water Heater Diagnostics and Inspections

Before any repair work begins, we run a thorough inspection of the unit. That includes checking gas lines, venting, electrical connections, and internal components. We find exactly where the problem is, so we fix what’s broken, and leave everything else alone.

Tankless System Repairs and Component Replacements

Faulty sensors, broken heating elements, and malfunctioning control boards are all repairs we handle regularly. We use quality replacement parts to restore your system to full performance, and we explain what we’ll do in plain terms before we start.

Descaling and Preventative Maintenance

Mineral scale is the most common cause of premature failure in tankless systems. A professional descaling service flushes the heat exchanger and removes sediment that reduces efficiency over time. For homes with hard water, annual maintenance is worth scheduling on a regular basis.

Emergency Tankless Water Heater Repair

Losing hot water is a real inconvenience, and we treat it that way. We prioritize emergency calls and work quickly to get your system back online, so you won’t be left waiting days for a technician.

New Tankless Water Heater Installation

Ready to upgrade? We evaluate your home’s gas supply, venting setup, and daily hot water demand before recommending a model. Sizing matters: an undersized unit is one of the most common installation mistakes, and we make sure it doesn’t happen.

Tank-to-Tankless Conversion Services

Converting from a traditional tank to a tankless system involves more than just swapping out the unit. Depending on your home’s current setup, gas line upgrades, new venting, or electrical work may be required. Our team handles the full conversion from start to finish.

Full System Replacement and Efficiency Upgrades

When an older tankless unit reaches the end of its useful life, we help you select a replacement that meets your current needs. Newer models are more efficient and often qualify for energy rebates, which can help offset the installation cost.

Is a Tankless Water Heater Right for Your Home?

Not every home is an ideal candidate for a tankless system right away, but most are. A few factors are worth thinking through before making the switch.

Best Fit for Large Families and High Water Usage

Households where hot water demand is high, with multiple bathrooms in use during morning hours, frequent laundry, or a large family, tend to see the most immediate benefit. The on-demand supply means no one is waiting for the tank to reheat.

Factors to Consider Before Installation

Gas line capacity, venting requirements, and your home’s electrical setup all affect whether a tankless installation will be straightforward or require additional work. We assess all of these during an in-home evaluation and provide clear pricing before any work begins.

Our Tankless Water Heater Service Process

The process is straightforward from start to finish. Here’s what to expect.

In-Home Evaluation and System Assessment

We start by looking at your current setup and talking through your hot water needs. This gives us a clear picture of what’s involved and helps us avoid surprises later.

Identifying the Cause of the Problem

For repair calls, we run diagnostic tests to find the source of the issue. What we find gets explained in plain terms, without jargon or pressure to replace parts that don’t need replacing.

Customized Recommendations and Flat-Rate Pricing

Once we know what’s needed, we give you a flat-rate price. You’ll know the full cost before we pick up the first tool, with no hidden fees and no estimates that balloon after the work starts.

Professional Repair or Installation Work

Our technicians work efficiently and keep the work area clean. Most repairs and standard installations are completed in a single visit.

Safety Testing and Performance Verification

After the work is done, we test the system thoroughly. Gas connections are checked for leaks, water temperatures are verified, and venting is confirmed to be functioning correctly.

Final Walkthrough and Maintenance Guidance

We walk you through what was done and answer any questions you have. We also share practical maintenance tips, such as how often to schedule descaling based on your water quality, so you can get the most out of your system.

Installation costs depend on the model selected and any modifications needed to gas lines, venting, or electrical systems. A properly maintained tankless water heater can last 20 years or more. That’s roughly double the lifespan of a traditional tank model, which typically needs replacement after 10 to 15 years.

Yes. Annual descaling is the most important maintenance task, as mineral buildup inside the heat exchanger reduces efficiency and can cause premature failure. Homes with hard water may benefit from descaling every six months.

A traditional tank heater runs continuously, keeping a large volume of water hot even when no one is using it. A tankless unit heats water only when a faucet is opened, which eliminates that constant energy draw. The U.S. Department of Energy estimates savings of 24% to 34% for lower-usage households.

Yes, and many homeowners in Woodstock make this switch every year. The conversion typically requires upgrades to gas lines and venting, which our technicians handle as part of the installation process.

The most common causes are mineral scale buildup inside the heat exchanger, a failing heating element, or a unit that’s undersized for current demand. A professional inspection will find the exact issue and provide a clear path to fixing it.

I have used Majestic Plumbing and Electrical several times in the past, which is why I called them again. Their service tech, Michael, arrived within the assigned time, assessed the plumbing problem and gave me different options to consider. Some of the plumbing in this condo is 50 years old, so it certainly presented some challenges. Michael kept me informed on the work that was needed and completed the work that day. I feel the cost was reasonable, especially for the amount of work that was performed. Highly recommend them and will use them again, when needed.

Eric was so helpful to us when our sump pump stopped working on a weekend. He tried to find the parts that weekend and when he wasn't able to he made sure we were first on the list Monday. We've used Majestic Plumbing for a water heater and new shut off valves in our kitchen as well and both of those experiences were very good as well. Quality work and reasonable prices. Highly recommend! 7/6/26 update: we used Majestic Plumbing yet again to repair a faucet as well as for a pipe repair. Jose did a great job addressing both issues and quickly got both issues fixed.

We had a bathtub faucet that wouldn’t turn off! Majestic worked me into their schedule and soon Eryk arrived to fix the issue. He knew exactly what to look for and took all the right precautions before starting work. He had the replacement part on his truck and in under an hour my house was back to normal. I can’t thank Eryk and Majestic enough for the quick professional work.

My hot water heater finally died on a Thursday evening. I called Majestic Friday morning about 9am. Hannah scheduled my service for 1-4pm. She contacted me at 9:15am to let me know a technician was available about 10am. Eryk arrive at 10:30. When he arrived he immediately evaluated that my heater was leaking from the bottom and at 26 years old, it had served it's purpose well. Eryk advised me on what needed to be done to replace the heater, gave me choices of sizes to meet present and future needs based on the size of the house. I chose a 50 gal gas tank. Without hesitation Eryk left to get the tank, returned in 1hr. and got to work. He took out the 40 gal tank and brought up the 50 gal tank in a L shaped 2 story staircase without hitting or damaging the walls by himself! He took out all the old fixtures, replace them with brand new. Cleaned up everything afterwards, showed me how to use the shut offs, and controls. There's not enough superlatives to describe Eryk's professionalism, conscientiousness, skill and meticulousness. I highly recommend this company and will indeed use them again!
