When a pipe bursts or the water heater fails in the middle of winter, you need someone you can actually count on. The same goes for your hot water. We provide dependable water heater repair, installation, and replacement for homes and businesses across Marietta, GA. Whether you need a quick fix for a traditional tank or a brand-new tankless water heater installation, we get there fast and help you sort it out. Our trained technicians know commercial plumbing inside and out, and they make sure your facility stays up to code without the runaround.

Common Water Heater Problems Homeowners Face

Daily use, sediment buildup, and aging systems eventually lead to water heater issues. Recognizing the signs early helps you avoid cold showers and costly water damage.

No Hot Water or Inconsistent Temperatures

A sudden drop in temperature often points to a failed heating element, a broken thermostat, or a disrupted gas supply. We run a camera through the line to find exactly where the blockage is, so we only fix what’s broken and leave everything else alone.

Strange Noises from the Water Heater Tank

If your water heater sounds like it is popping or rumbling, sediment buildup is usually the culprit. Minerals settle at the bottom of the tank and harden, forcing the heating element to work harder. This added strain reduces efficiency and can eventually cause the tank to overheat.

Leaking Water Heater Tanks or Connections

Water pooling around the base of the unit is a serious concern. It often indicates internal corrosion that has eaten through the metal. Worn-out pressure relief valves and loose connections can also cause leaks. Once a tank begins to deteriorate from the inside, replacement becomes the only safe solution.

Discolored or Rusty Hot Water

Rusty, muddy, or foul-smelling hot water suggests corrosion inside the tank or a deteriorating anode rod. The anode rod is designed to attract corrosive elements, protecting the tank lining. When it fails, rust enters your hot water supply.

Low Hot Water Pressure

Mineral buildup and plumbing restrictions affect water flow. Scale accumulates inside the pipes and the heat exchanger, restricting water flow and causing low pressure at your faucets. If you notice a sudden drop in pressure, it is time to have a professional flush the system before the blockage causes permanent damage.

Signs You Need Water Heater Repair in Marietta

Catching problems early prevents breakdowns and costly replacements. Watch for these warning signs so you can address minor issues before they turn into major plumbing emergencies. A quick inspection today can save you thousands of dollars tomorrow.

Water Takes Too Long to Heat

A failing water heater consumes more energy to produce the same amount of hot water. Sediment buildup and worn heating elements decrease efficiency, forcing the system to run longer. When your unit has to work overtime just to provide a warm shower, it is a clear indicator that maintenance or replacement is necessary.

Running Out of Hot Water Quickly

Heavy sediment buildup reduces the amount of usable hot water in a tank system. Deposits take up space and require the heating elements to work harder. Faulty thermostats or damaged dip tubes also limit your hot water supply.

Rising Energy Bills

If you notice a pattern of higher utility bills without changes in usage, your water heater may be to blame. Aging parts and sediment buildup force the system to run more frequently, increasing your energy costs.

Visible Leaks or Moisture Around the Unit

Even a small drip can become a major leak. Since water heaters operate under pressure, a compromised tank may suddenly release more water, leading to significant water damage to your home. Do not ignore moisture around the base; prompt repair can prevent flooding of a basement or utility closet.

Water Heater Age Over 8–12 Years

Traditional tank water heaters typically last 8 to 12 years. If your unit is over 10 years old and experiencing recurring issues, age alone is a strong signal that replacement makes more financial sense than continued repairs. Choosing the right system depends on your household size, usage, and budget. Our technicians take the time to understand your daily hot water needs before making a recommendation. We want you to have a system that provides reliable comfort without driving up your utility bills.

Traditional Tank Water Heaters

Traditional tank water heaters provide a reliable hot water supply at a cost-effective price point. They store a large volume of water at a constant heated temperature, making them a common choice for many homes.

Tankless Water Heaters

Tankless water heaters heat water on demand, without a storage tank. They can be up to 34% more efficient than storage water heaters and have a life expectancy of over 20 years.

Frequently Asked Questions

Traditional tank water heaters usually last 8 to 12 years, while tankless units often last 15 to 20 years. Regular maintenance, such as annual flushing and anode rod inspections, can help your system reach the higher end of its lifespan.

If repair costs exceed 50% of the price of a new unit, replacement is almost always the better investment. The same applies if you have needed multiple repairs in a short timeframe.

Costs vary based on the issue type, parts, and labor. Simple fixes cost less, while complex problems require more investment. We always provide a transparent, upfront quote before any work begins, so you’re never caught off guard by the final bill.

Tankless water heaters offer energy efficiency, endless hot water, and long-term savings. They also save valuable space in your home. Because they only heat water when you need it, you’re not paying to keep a large tank hot 24 hours a day.

Yes, we prioritize emergencies and offer speedy service to restore your hot water quickly. We know that going without hot water disrupts your entire day, so we make every effort to provide same-day service whenever possible.

Sediment buildup and internal wear cause rumbling or popping sounds. Minerals settle at the bottom of the tank and harden over time; as the heating element tries to warm the water through this thick layer of scale, it creates steam bubbles that then pop.

We recommend annual maintenance and flushing to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your unit.

Eric was so helpful to us when our sump pump stopped working on a weekend. He tried to find the parts that weekend and when he wasn't able to he made sure we were first on the list Monday. We've used Majestic Plumbing for a water heater and new shut off valves in our kitchen as well and both of those experiences were very good as well. Quality work and reasonable prices. Highly recommend! 7/6/26 update: we used Majestic Plumbing yet again to repair a faucet as well as for a pipe repair. Jose did a great job addressing both issues and quickly got both issues fixed.

We had a bathtub faucet that wouldn’t turn off! Majestic worked me into their schedule and soon Eryk arrived to fix the issue. He knew exactly what to look for and took all the right precautions before starting work. He had the replacement part on his truck and in under an hour my house was back to normal. I can’t thank Eryk and Majestic enough for the quick professional work.

My hot water heater finally died on a Thursday evening. I called Majestic Friday morning about 9am. Hannah scheduled my service for 1-4pm. She contacted me at 9:15am to let me know a technician was available about 10am. Eryk arrive at 10:30. When he arrived he immediately evaluated that my heater was leaking from the bottom and at 26 years old, it had served it's purpose well. Eryk advised me on what needed to be done to replace the heater, gave me choices of sizes to meet present and future needs based on the size of the house. I chose a 50 gal gas tank. Without hesitation Eryk left to get the tank, returned in 1hr. and got to work. He took out the 40 gal tank and brought up the 50 gal tank in a L shaped 2 story staircase without hitting or damaging the walls by himself! He took out all the old fixtures, replace them with brand new. Cleaned up everything afterwards, showed me how to use the shut offs, and controls. There's not enough superlatives to describe Eryk's professionalism, conscientiousness, skill and meticulousness. I highly recommend this company and will indeed use them again!

My technician Michael was very thorough in his explanation of the work to be completed. The installation of the Flo By Moen smart shutoff valve and reducing valve was meticulous and the pipes and valves securely attached. The work area was left very clean and both technicians were professional and courteous. I highly recommend and already have plans on using them again.
